Goforth Creek

Goforth Creek Trail

one of my favorite adventures of the summer, and one of the most nostalgic hikes i've taken, goforth creek is a picteuresque mountain stream tumbling into the rushing ocoee river. The Hike begins with a small gravel parking lot off US 64 between Benton and Ducktown. Once you park, you will need to walk back across the bridge to Goforth rd 186, a USFS road that is closed to vehicular traffic most days and will serve as your trail. this format makes this hike an ideal spot for young families and couples looking for an easy hike. A relatively short distance later, the trail ends a clearing next to the creek. This trail makes for an ideal family outing, date, or pit stop en route to another destination

Nearby Attractions

being on the ocoee river, once you finish your hike there are bountiful other options to pass the time that are just minutes from the trailhead. From other hikes in and around the Big Frog WMA, to watching the rafts and kayaks that you may have met by the trailhead, to enjoying the Ocoee Whitewater center, to swimming at the "blue hole". I recommend turning goforth creek into a daytrip.
